Guided activities at select times and hands-on demonstrations invite you to explore plankton like a real scientist, in an experience designed for the whole family.

Family Saturday: The dragons of inaction

March 7 at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.

The dragons of inaction are a concept used to represent the obstacles to climate action. Bring the whole family to learn more about these “dragons” during a guided tour of the exhibition Emolab, dedicated to eco-emotions. The activity then continues in the open art studio with a creative project inspired by the day’s theme.

The Insectarium invites the whole family to take part in activities in its large workshop space. After exploring the museum, extend the experience further with a culinary workshop that will spark your curiosity—and your taste buds! Discover and taste edible insects, and get inspired to incorporate them into your everyday diet.

Meet a fascinating insectone-of-a-kind arthropod up close in the heart of the Great Vivarium. A friendly science educator helps you create a uniquewill guide you through this special experience. Come and make a connection—and try something newconnection with these small creatures that play a key role in our ecosystems.

Find the Butterflies

Set out in search of the tagged butterfly and let your curiosity lead the way. This fun search-and-find activity also serves as a true scientific contribution: each butterfly spotted helps our team members better understand their well-being. A science educator will guide you through this adventure that blends participation and wonder.
